I wasn't born in British Columbia, but I have a Canadian Citizenship Card, issued in BC, so I'm assuming that for McGill to change my name and gender I'd need to change everything through the BC system. Ahhhhhhhhh. sorry for such a long post. ... yup... the issue is that you need to have a BC birth certificate and be residing in BC to change your name through BC. if you have the birth certificate they'll let you be creative about why you are not currently in BC though. ...
